1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using mevent.io ("we," "us," or "our") and any associated Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, then you may not access or use our Services.
2. Description of Service
mevent.io provides tools for event organizers to launch and manage event communities, including onboarding flows, participant approvals, searchable directories, connection workflows, messaging (direct and broadcast), and related organizer dashboards and marketing pages.
3. User Accounts
Registration: Organizers create accounts using email or supported identity providers (such as Google or LinkedIn). Participants create accounts to join specific events using the signup methods enabled by the organizer. You agree to provide accurate and complete information.
Approvals and access: Organizers may require approval before participants gain full access. Organizers control which profile fields are collected and displayed to other approved participants.
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Usage and Conduct
Prohibited Conduct: You agree not to upload unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or harassing content; not to use the Services to spam participants or misrepresent your identity; not to interfere with or disrupt the Services; and not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
Content Ownership and Responsibility: Organizers retain ownership of their event configuration, branding, and uploaded materials. Participants retain ownership of the profile data they submit. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you share and for your interactions with other users; we do not moderate introductions or guarantee outcomes from connections or messaging.
5. Payment and Subscription
Billing: Certain organizer features are available only on paid plans. Payments are processed through Stripe. Taxes may apply based on your location.
Trials, renewals, and refunds: Plan terms (including trials or seat limits) are shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew per the billing interval unless canceled. Refund requests should be directed to [email protected] and will be reviewed case-by-case in line with our posted refund practices.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
All trademarks, logos, and service marks (excluding user-uploaded content) are the intellectual property of mevent.io or its licensors. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your personal or internal business purposes related to events hosted on the platform.
7. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services such as Supabase (authentication and data storage), Stripe (payments), hosting and email providers, and analytics/performance tools. We are not liable for the actions or omissions of these third-party service providers. Any third-party terms required by those services may also apply.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that defects will be corrected. We do not guarantee event outcomes, introductions, or participant engagement.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, mevent.io and its officers, directors, employees, or agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the Services.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless mevent.io, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account or access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in activity harmful to us or others.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action will be brought in the courts of Switzerland.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Effective Date" above. Your continued use of the Services after changes indicates your acceptance of the new Terms.
